Are you a good listener? That’s too bad! What??? Actually, being a good listener is a great quality, but did you know that it can be a detriment in this market? Too many real estate professionals are over-empathizing with their buyers and listening to way too much doom and gloom. Too much empathy and too much meaningless conversation does not create urgency of any kind. No urgency equals no sale.
 
Here are a few tips for creating urgency:
 
Ask questions to uncover important information from the get go.
Don’t build rapport so long that you never get on a sales path.
Keep your buyers on track. If they go off on a tangent, get them back.
Tell the buyers that you will be asking questions along the way to uncover their wants and needs. 
Give the buyers a timeframe for their appointment, so you can get to the point of selling more quickly.
Be Busy - Act Busy - Stay Busy.
