AZ Real Estate License Renewal Period

The Arizona Department of Real Estate changed the license renewal period from 4 years to 2 years for real estate licenses issued after July 29, 2010.  From what I hear from the real estate industry, real estate licensees are pleased with the change.  The license renewal period now cooincides with the continuing education requriements, so there is less confusement at to when the CE hours are required.
I met a real estate agent today, however, who had no idea that the real estate license renewal period had been changed.  Her real estate license needs to be renewed by December of 2011 and she thought that it would be issued for another 4-year period.  I explained that her new real estate license would be issued for 2 years, but the continuing education requirements would remain the same.  There may be other licensees who are still confused as well, so please log-on to the ADRE website for more information at www.azre.gov.
